Dr. Luz E Mejia has been with the practice since 2003.  Dr. Mejia worked as a general dentist in a private practice in White Plains, New York and in Manhattan before obtaining her specialty in Endodontics. She earned her certificate in endodontics from NYU College of Dentistry where she taught undergraduate dental students. Dr. Mejia completed her General Practice Residency at Montefiore Medical Center and earned her D.D.S. from NYU College of Dentistry. She graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biology at Manhattan College in Riverdale.


Dr. Mejia has been voted Top Endodontist in the Hudson Valley every year since 2008. Dr. Mejia enjoys attending an annual Dental Outreach Program in the Dominican Republic where she performs root canal therapy (RCT) free of cost to the underserved population.

Dr. Mejia completes a number of continuing education courses every year with the American Association of Endodontics and other organizations in order to keep her knowledge and skills updated. She is currently a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), the New York County Dental Society (NYCDS), the 9th District Dental Society, the New York State Dental Association (NYSDA), the Dutchess County Dental Society, and the prestigious New York Academy of Dentistry.

She lives in beautiful Cold Spring with her husband and 3 young boys where she is active in volunteering in her community and at her children’s schools. She was a board member of the non-for profit Haldane School Foundation, the treasurer of the Philipstown Little League, a member and chair of the Giving Tree Committee of the PTA at the Haldane School district and volunteers for school fairs, the Putnam history museum, and the local lions club in addition to volunteering as a class mother.
